  Kora @ Garway        Live music and great food

 

£477 at Garway Community Centre when the mesmerising 21-string West African Harp played by Jali Bakaray Konte and Adam Doughty, with additional vocals from Daisy Burt and percussion from Oumar Sagna, Ben Salman and friends entertained a packed hall.

Whiskey in the Jar 

 

This event was held in March 2019 in Bamford Derbyshire and helped to raise funds towards the Kora Trust.

 

Events such as these not only help raise funds for the Kora Trust, they help to increase the awareness of the work the Trust does in Kafountine.  As a result of the concert, the local church used their Christian Aid collection and the donation of shoemaking and woodworking tools to support the community.
